Public School Facilities Data Tool
…your overview of public school facilities for every U.S. school district
The Facilities Data Tool gives educators, building professionals, and civic stakeholders access to standardized and verified enrollment, population, facilities, and fiscal data. It uses the most up-to-date national-scale data, as reported by local school districts to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and the U.S. Census. Gross square foot building areas are either collected from states or estimated by the 21st Century School Fund. The data is longitudinal and provides 20 years of context. The Glossary has detailed documentation and references for each data item.
This Facilities Data Tool can support district facility planning, engagement, and oversight responsibilities. The Reports and data from the Tool can provide the basis for district and community engagement on educational facility needs, at no cost to the districts. The data in the tool can also be shared with district planning consultants to kickstart larger planning processes.

The NCSI Public School Facilities Data Tool is powered by the 21st Century School Fund's FORMAT-Pro™ (FP™). The NCSI Tool links to the FP™ Data Warehouse, which structures the standardized and verified data and links it to the Tool through APIs.
